This marijuana strain review is for Somango as acquired from “Weeds BCN,” a private cannabis social club in Barcelona, Spain. This indica hybrid is popular in Spain, the Netherlands and the United States, but ultimately this weed won’t meet the standards of cannabis connoisseurs or people who need a consistent and powerful indica for medical purposes, although it does make for a stable and not-too-potent day time weed. Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies marijuana strain, as the name suggests, is one of several phenotypes of the legendary Girl Scout Cookies strain. This is an extremely rare cannabis strain to see in Europe, and as far as I am aware the only place to get it in Barcelona is at La Mesa private cannabis club. A potent, fragrant and delicious strain, Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies is not only an excellent strain as a special and unique treat, it’s also extremely useful for a wide variety of daily-use purposes. The Oregon Huckleberry marijuana strain is an indica-dominant hybrid swiftly becoming renowned for its strongly berry profile. A unique strain that blends some of the most interesting and hardest-hitting genetics, Oregon Huckleberry has become one of my favorite strains in 2015. Read Full Strain Review

Zombie Kush marijuana strain is one of the hardest-hitting Indicas this author has ever had the pleasure of smoking. This particular batch of Zombie Kush was produced by La Mesa cannabis club in Barcelona, Spain. This is important information because in my opinion, Zombie Kush is not only the most potent Indica in Catalonia so far for 2015, it’s also the most medically-valuable, as this review will attest. The Choko marijuana strain is the best sativa in Spain, and probably the best Sativa this author has ever sampled. The Choko strain is derived primarily from a Nepalese landrace Sativa and phenotypes of Chocolope. Developed by the breeding and genetics team associated with Club Choko in Barcelona, the Choko weed strain is one of the most unique and potent types of cannabis available anywhere. A finely crafted cannabis strain, Silvia’s Blue is actually phenotype #1 of LA Blue. However, Silvia’s Blue is much stronger and longer lasting than LA Blue, making it a better candidate for various medicinal uses. This strain is a hybrid consisting of Blue Dream, LA Confidential and Chocolope, with some major differences between this phenotype and the one I wrote about earlier in 2014 in this strain review. Despite a considerable time spent in development, the newness of this strain means that it is exceedingly rare, so if you find yourself suddenly able to acquire Silvia’s Blue, you should count yourself lucky. The Twitter marijuana strain is a hard-hitting new cannabis strain developed in sunny California, although I cannot figure out why it is named after the social media site. The twitter weed strain is extremely potent and easily puts you to sleep, while I have an idea in my head of the social media giant as a twitching, tremulous little creature that cannot sit still; they are opposite concepts. Regardless of the story behind the namesake, Twitter is the strongest cannabis I’ve had in a while and the high lasts for more than 3 hours for veteran tokers, earning it a full 5 Star rating. Jack Herer 3 is a Sativa-dominant hybrid cannabis strain based on genetic stock developed by my friends at Sensi Seeds in Amsterdam. This version of Jack Herer 3 was grown by a collective in California, and they did a smashing job of it too, as this weed is a superior, well-rounded example of what a good hybrid should be like. Other than XXX (of which I could not acquire enough to conduct a review, damn it!), Jack Herer 3 is the best strain that I have tried in 2014, with the exception of one seriously disappointing factor. The Platinum OG strain is an Indica dominant hybrid that was bred primarily using Master Kush and OG Kush. Platinum OG is the first Kush strain that I have rated at 5 stars, as most of the other types of this infamous plant just don’t impress me that much. But Platinum OG is different and delivers a potent high replete with a unique flavor and scent profile that sets it apart soundly from other Kush varieties. Read Full Strain Review Here

The Sour Diesel strain holds a legendary status among many Cannabis Connoisseurs, although it’s not one of my favorites personally. Sour Diesel is moderately potent and fairly long lasting but without the fanfare of taste and aroma offered by similar strains like NYC Diesel. However, Sour Diesel provides some unique effects that make it an excellent candidate for some medical uses, and ultimately the strain is pretty stony at high doses – even for veterans. This Sour Diesel strain review is for the type grown and produced by La Conte’s Clone Bar & Dispensary in Denver, Colorado. Read Full Strain Review Here

The Blue Dream marijuana strain has been extremely popular during 2013 and 2014. In fact, my weed connection in the States has used it to create a couple of entirely new cannabis strains including LA Blue and Blue Caramel Dream. I picked up a 1/4 ounce of Blue Dream and at first wasn’t overly happy about it as I am not fond of Sativas, and Blue Dream is a sativa-dominant hybrid (supposedly; who knows what this particular phenotype consists of). However, I actually enjoyed this strain immensely despite some mildly unpleasant effects, and think that it can serve some excellent therapeutic purposes for the right individuals. The Girl Scout Cookies marijuana strain is a hybrid based primarily on an unknown strain crossed with Durban Poison and Kush. I acquired some Girl Scout Cookies from my connection in the Northeast, but I happen to know that he has it shipped in every week from California. So it’s possible that the GSC I’m smoking is the real deal. A 5 star cannabis strain, Girl Scout Cookies gets me super high for long periods of time, but it isn’t much to write about in the way of taste, aroma or even appearance. We’ll call it an entry level 5 star strain. Read Full Strain Review

This review is for the Deep Chunk strain – one of the most popular cannabis strains for more than 40 years. I’ve seen Deep Chunk on various weed menus in Amsterdam and Barcelona, but I never tried it until now. I acquired this particular strain in the state of Maine in the U.S., so I was quite surprised and pleased to learn that it was available in such a backwoods region. Deep Chunk is the first 5 star marijuana strain that I’ve had since arriving back in the United States this winter, so it’s been an awesome experience to be able to get my hands on this. Blue Caramel Dream is a cannabis strain that has been developed by an undisclosed grower and geneticist out of California. The strain is an indica dominant hybrid that was created by crossing the Blueberry Strain with Cream Caramel and Northern Lights. I find this particularly interesting because I don’t consider Northern Lights to be a premium strain, but the resultant Blue Caramel Dream is indeed a high-grade premium marijuana strain. This marijuana strain review is for LA Blue, which is a new cannabis strain developed by an ambitious grower located in California. The LA Blue marijuana strain is a cross between the infamous LA Confidential and Blue Dream. This cross is an Indica dominant hybrid, but I am not sure of the percentages. Based on my experience, I’m going to guess it’s somewhere in the 60-70% Indica range. And considering that I picked this strain up in the frigid state of Maine, this weed is a long way from home. The Violator Kush marijuana strain is comparable in potency to other Kush varieties I’ve tried like Pineapple Kush, Afghan Kush, Cranberry Kush, OG Kush and Gold Kush, but it definitely lacks the delicious flavors of these other varieties. Overall it’s an excellent Indica-dominant hybrid, but though others claim it has superior medicinal properties, I disagree unless you’re talking about pain located in the head or neck. Violator Kush does not provide a high that extends below the neck, so if you’re looking for this property in a medicinal marijuana strain, move along. But if you want a strong and long-acting Kush strain to get high on while remaining physically active, this might be exactly what you need. Read Full Strain Review Here

The Blueberry marijuana strain is the second strain I was able to acquire since arriving in the United States in mid-December. At first I scored some Pineapple Express but smoked it too fast to do a review. Fortunately, I had my camera and pen ready when I got my hands on the Blueberry strain. Overall this is not my typical experience in the States, as most of the time you have no idea what strain you’re getting. But as I surmised in a recent post, we’re all experiencing the Changing of the Cannabis Quo. Read Full Strain Review Here

The Cheese Marijuana strain has suddenly become one of my all-time favorite types of cannabis, despite my initial resistance to try the version sold in Barcelona, Spain. After having tried the Cheese strain several times in Amsterdam over the years, I didn’t understand why the Catalonians listed Cheese at the top of Barcelona’s cannabis clubs weed menus, as I just didn’t like the strain. But thankfully I had occasion to try the Spanish version of Cheese, and I’m glad I did because it’s one of the best marijuana strains ever developed. Read Full Strain Review Here

The Nuken marijuana strain is a lot like a cake that’s just too beautiful to eat. Nuken is so fantastically gorgeous to look at that you might hesitate to break it up and smoke it. In fact, of all the marijuana strains I’ve reviewed for this site so far, Nuken was the most beautiful. A deliciously appealing weed, the Nuken marijuana strain is less potent than you’d think it would be based on looks alone, making this a strong 4 Star performer that doesn’t miss the 5 Star mark by much. Of course, given the choice of a 5 Star strain over this one, I’d admire the Nuken but smoke the more potent weed. Read Full Strain Review Here

Doing this review of the MK Ultra marijuana strain wasn’t at all what I expected. Based on the fact that this weed is named after a nefarious government program that tested potent LSD on unsuspecting victims, I expected MK Ultra to be one badass marijuana strain. I’ve heard about this strain here and there and have seen it on sold-out menus from time to time, so when I became a member at the Smoke Green cannabis club in Barcelona and saw that they offered MK Ultra, I just had to snatch it up. Unfortunately, it seems like I held my breath for nothing, as MK Ultra is a disappointing strain. Read Full Strain Review Here
