Spring Comes Early – Madrid cannabis club review

One of the newest cannabis associations in Madrid is Spring Comes Early (SCE).  This awesome cannabis club has certainly awoken our senses. Located in the best zone, barrio Salamanca, this new Madrid cannabis social club is our new favourite. Quite possibly our new rite of Spring….and Summer, Fall and Winter!! This excellent cannabis club in Madrid is located on a wide open, quiet street, just near a buzzing square (well, round!) with eateries and bars with many trees and parasols to keep cool in summer.

Once you’ve rung the buzzer, you’ll enter into a pared back reception area, you’ll meet a super-friendly, multi-lingual member of staff who’ll take you through the rules and regulations of this Madrid weed smokers’ club, plus they’ll offer assessment if you’re in any doubt about the legalities regarding cannabis consumption here in Spain.

Just past reception, you’ll find a nice comfy honesty bar with high stools where you can fill up on coffee, waters and coca-cola, along with an assortment of refreshments. To the left, you pass through to this stylish club.We say stylish, because unlike many of the clubs in Madrid, Spring Comes Early offers an open, diaphanous space with modern polished cement flooring and invitingly furnished.  You’ll want to spend time relaxing on chic grey chaise-longue style sofas, contemporary charcoal armchairs which all arranged around black steel and glass coffee tables. With the addition of  soft, low hanging raffia lighting here and there, bookshelves and plants, this place to smoke cannabis in Madrid transmits a peaceful, chill vibe. You’ll definitely feel at home here.  It’s one of the nicest spaces we’ve seen recently. Somewhere to hang and make new friends.

But, let’s get straight to the important stuff. Evidently, a club’s dispensary is at the heart of any association. But, hey! The dispensary at Spring Comes Early…….. Wow! Just wow! A truly original space! We couldn’t work out whether we were heading back to Precambrian era (ok, ok, for all you geology nuts, we know that that’s not strictly an era) or had somehow landed back in the town of Bedrock with Fred and Wilma. Look at the photo below, and you’ll see what we mean!

Seriously, it’s a really, really cool space where you can take your time to choose and chat to the knowledgeable bud tenders.  The team at Spring Comes Early wanted to stress that they are totally committed to holding an interesting, varied stock of products and paraphenalia. As you know, continuity is sometimes difficult given the legalities of cannabis in Spain, but when we were there we were treated to some Gorilla Glue and Zkittles, and for the hash lovers Strawberry Banana. Specially impressed by Biscotti Sundae, which gave this reviewer a nice relaxing high. Oh, and remember we said you can get coffee? Well, we have a special recommendation to try the brownie, lovingly prepared to a tried and tested recipe, washed down with Spring Come’s Early special Italian coffee. Double yum!

Zoning out in the zone is cool but, if you’re interested in interaction, there are some boardgames like Parchis (Spanish ludo), Monopoly, Scrabble, etc. There’s ample space at the work-zone table right at the end of the room if you want to concentrate – but last time we were there we also had a cool time dabbing with a dab rig.  Concentrating on concentrates, if you feel us.  Additionally, there’s a cozy den-like area with wide-screen tv if you’re looking to just relax. The members are laid-back and amiable and there’s always someone interesting to talk to or challenge to a game of chess.

We loved, loved Spring Comes Early.

For us, it delivers high quality, carefully selected weed products in a chic cannabis social club, located in a safe, tranquil zone away from the over-crowded touristy centre, easy to get to by metro, bus or Uber.

Please note that Marijuana Games has reviewed this club to the best of its abilities, but must stress that we have no links to the management of Spring Comes Early. Marijuana Games does not sell cannabis, we are not advocating use but we actively promote the idea that all adults should have safe access to cannabis in secure environments.

But, please read about the legalities, here.
