Coffeeshop Solo on Korte Koningsstraat in Amsterdam is one of my favorite places in the center of the old city. What makes it so special is that Coffeeshop Solo has the best service of any place in town. The staff consists of a select group of friendly people who have always made me feel right at home. Add to this the fact that this Dutch coffeeshop in Amsterdam is slightly hidden from the average annoying tourist, and Coffeeshop Solo becomes an excellent way to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city without ever actually leaving it. The Smoke Green Cannabis Club on Carrer de Girona in Barcelona is a private smoking club that I’ll never forget, thanks to a cannabis “tasting” where I discovered an amazing new strain. Smoke Green provides ample space for members to spread out and chill, but more importantly, it’s obvious that they take cannabis seriously. Doing this review of the MK Ultra marijuana strain wasn’t at all what I expected. Based on the fact that this weed is named after a nefarious government program that tested potent LSD on unsuspecting victims, I expected MK Ultra to be one badass marijuana strain. I’ve heard about this strain here and there and have seen it on sold-out menus from time to time, so when I became a member at the Smoke Green cannabis club in Barcelona and saw that they offered MK Ultra, I just had to snatch it up. This marijuana strain review of Super Skunk is for the variety currently available to members of the Jammin cannabis club in Barcelona. I’ve declined various strains of Skunk lately in favor of some other more exotic marijuana strains, but decided to try Super Skunk and some Super Skunk hash at the same time primarily because the buds at Jammin looked really sweet. This marijuana strain review of Afghan Kush is for the variety offered by the Alhambra Culture Club on Carrer del Doctor Dou in Barcelona. There’s lots of Kush around right now, including Cranberry Kush that I tried a few weeks ago, as well as OG Kush, Gold Kush and others. But in my opinion, Afghan Kush is one of the best Kush marijuana strains, even though it’s still not one of my favorites. Alhambra is a beautiful, Middle-Eastern themed cannabis social club located on Carrer Doctor Dou in Barcelona. Although it’s near La Rambla, the club is well out of the way of the hustle and bustle of the surrounding touristy areas and is a great place to hang out and smoke some dank buds in a peaceful, clean and relaxed environment.  Alhambra also offers dinner and music every Friday night, free for all members. And when the dinner and music is over, another band comes in and the live music continues until 1AM, so if you’re a member here you can basically book your Fridays in advance each month. This marijuana strain review is for a type of weed I had never heard of before: Black Lemon. At the time I had several of the most potent marijuana strains in the world placed in front of me and I had to force myself to only choose 2: Amnesia, NYC Diesel, Cheese or Black Lemon. When I opened a large glass jar of the Black Lemon and poked my nose inside, I knew I had to sample this beautiful strain. Diesel and Cheese are great, but I’ve smoked more of those strains than any other besides White Widow, so I was ready to try something new. It took me a long time to do this strain review of Amnesia because I simply couldn’t find this weed at any cannabis clubs in Barcelona. It’s around, but every time I went to a club they either didn’t have it at all, or they had just sold out of it. Thankfully, my friend Z from Sweet Dreams emailed me when he got some Amnesia in at the club, so I hopped on my bike and headed over to pick some up. The Black Jack marijuana strain is a 50/50 blend of Cannabis Sativa and Cannabis Indica. Normally I try to avoid C. Sativa unless it’s free or just plain stupefyingly potent, but I’ve been trying different combinations of blends out of the sake of experimentation. So far, this 50/50 is the best use of Sativa that I’ve found, making Black Jack a unique and sufficiently powerful marijuana strain to warrant regular use by just about anyone.
